Harvest Festival Services – 6th October 2024 – Our Harvest Wish List

Harvest Festival: Sun 6th Oct. 8am and 11am in All Saints’, & 9.15am in St Stephen’s, with floral display in both churches (thanks in anticipation to Joy Cordwell and her team in St Stephen’s, and Janet Hoban and her team in All Saints’). All non-perishable food items and toiletries donated will support the Padley@YMCA Derbyshire for their Harvest Appeal, a full list of items needed can be found at https://ymcaderbyshire.org.uk/ymca-harvest-festival/. or on the poster above.

Last year they provided support to over 800 people in need (who visited the Day Centre) through 21,000 hot and fresh meals, 2513 emergency food parcels, 1710 toiletry parcels and 593 clothing parcels. All items were donated by supporters during the Harvest Festival season, and throughout the year. 

In August 2024 the Day Centre moved to Parcel Terrace to become the Padley@YMCA Derbyshire Community Hub. This continues the current service provision, along with a community pantry and kitchen, giving families and individuals most in need opportunity to prepare meals.
