If you need advice or to report a safeguarding concern urgently then please follow the instructions below. If a child or adult is in immediate danger or requires immediate medical attention, you must dial 999.

The Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO):

Please note that Angela is usually able to respond within 7 days, however this may, on occasions, not be possible. 

In the event Angela is not available then please contact the Vicar Tim Sumpter, one of the Church Wardens or Mrs Nat Coxon (contact details below) or if any one of these are not available or you do not consider it appropriate to speak to one of these people then please contact the diocesan safeguarding team. The Diocese of Derby Safeguarding Team is based at the Parish Support Office, Derby Church House and office hours are Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm. Call 01332 388678 and ask to speak to a safeguarding advisor.

If you wish to raise a safeguarding concern then please complete, where possible, the following “Safeguarding concern reporting form” reporting form and email/pass it to Angela or to one of the above-named contacts. If you prefer, then you raise the concern directly with the diocese.

Diocese Safeguarding Team 

To report a concern or request advice from Derby Diocese regarding a safeguarding issue, please use this form, as it will alert the diocese safeguarding team via their safeguarding email inbox.

They will respond to all contacts as a matter of priority, at the latest on the next working day.

If you are unable to complete this form, you can call 01332 388678 and ask to speak to a safeguarding advisor.

Their office hours are Monday to Friday 9am until 4pm.

You can also report any concerns to the Police or Social Care.

Please note that the diocese will respond to all concerns reported in the strictest confidence.
